Nowadays European Union Universities are immersed in Bologna process to find out a way to create a real European High Educational environment.

Bologna process changes drastically the way we are used to conceive higher education. Bologna credits are not based on the number of hours the students spend in the classroom but in the number of hours they spend working on the subject.

In this scenario, developing new materials and teaching models are crucial for the success of the new learning experience.

Teaching will be focus not in masterly classes but in coaching the students. As a result, the approach to learning should change as well as the approach to teaching.

Teaching cases are a powerful tool to encourage our students towards self-study. They are very common in Business Schools, but very rare in traditional Engineering Education.

I am beginning to prepare a teaching case for Radiocommunication teaching and I would appreciate to know if someone of you is interested in making a collaborative work on this subject.

We could also create a list of teaching case web sites as well. You are welcome to make your suggestions

There is an interesting article from Ventakaraman, (http://www.judithredoli.com/blog/venkataraman2004jan.pdf) which establishes the factors needed for a region to foster technological entrepreneurship. This article describes the ideal virtuous cycle that leads to the development of successful entrepreneurship attitudes in society.
Learning process can bash out new ways of thinking. That’s why it is so important to design learning processes that can guide the acquisition of needed attributes to foster entrepreneurship among young people (http://www.judithredoli.com/blog/learningprocessJRedoli.pdf).

Venkataraman proposes seven intangibles to foster technological entrepreneurship in a region. I would like to debate about each of them in the learning process environment.

First intangible is the capacity of producing novel ideas.

The education method should be focused to develop the right side of the brain thinking, that is, the creative mind. University is a focus for novel ideas, so it should be the proper environment to promote this kind of behaviour.

What kind of methodologies can develop this capacity? I encouraged you to click the “comment” button below and participate in that brain storming:
